Geek in Residence

My name is Rachael E.C. Acklin, and I am the owner of the Caffeinated Design Studio and Caffeinated Hosting. I am the resident designer and coder, and I’m the person that each client meets with and talks to before and during every project.

I have been geeking it up online since my first Juno email account back in the early 1990’s, and have been actively designing graphics and writing code for the web since 2001. I started freelancing as a designer in 2007, and opened Caffeinated Design & Hosting in February of 2008 – a little over a year later, I split that company into my Studio and my Hosting business.  My passion for all things web-related is only surpassed by my passion for my family, strong coffee, and a pile of good books.

In the time I spend away from designing awesome websites, I am homeschooling three of our four children, spending time doing amateur photography, helping my leather-working husband with his business, and accumulating many piles of half-folded laundry.
